On Wednesday, 19 July, CYLINDERS HOLDING hosted a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Czech Association of Technical Gases (CATP). In the premises of the Vitkovice Castle in Ostrava, the members of the Board of Directors discussed the issue of illegal filling of cylinders and the possible impact of such filling on the safety and health of the population. "Safety in the technical gases segment is our top priority and anyone who violates the laws of this country and the EU threatens not only the reputation of our sector, but mainly the safety of our fellow citizens," said Miloš Řehák, the association's director.
The Board of Directors of the Association further discussed the legislative and technical aspects of hydrogen production, storage and distribution. "At Cylinders Holding we have rich and long-standing experience with hydrogen. We support the development of technologies related to the use of hydrogen. Unfortunately, the recently approved European legislation is throwing a spanner in the works of hydrogen development rather than helping it. However, we have agreed with our colleagues from ČATP that it is necessary to continue to support the development of hydrogen technologies in the Czech Republic. We are therefore ready to share our many years of technical and practical experience," said Jan Světlík, CEO of Cylinders Holding.
This was sealed by a tour of the production halls of the Ostrava-based company VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS, which included a presentation of the most recent products for hydrogen storage and transport, including tanks for hydrogen refueling stations. ČATP members had the opportunity to see it directly in Ostrava - Vítkovice and also visited the exhibition of the Science and Technology Center in the Lower Vítkovice area, which offers, among other things, unique training courses in the field of hydrogen technology.
